Come and expand your musical abilities with traditional West African drums and rhythms. Our class meets several times a month at various locations west of the GTA. Tom Wolf uses his many years drumming experience to teach musicians of all abilities and techniques on Jembe and Dun Duns, and teaches how they relate to the traditions of West African culture. Experience the power of rhythm! Are you interested in learning hand drumming? Want to learn about rhythm? Then join us for an hour and a half as we explore a variety of rhythm patterns on djembe drums. This group is a fun entry-level learning experience but is open to anyone who wants to participate. Hello all! My name is Dave and I formed this group because I love to drum and there can never be "too many" drumming circles. This group is for drummers of all skill levels who want to get out share in a wonderful time of creating beats and having fun sharing nothing but the purest of positive energy. Meet other local hand drummers, percussionists, and other kinds of musicians interested in playing in drumcircles. Experience and ownership of equipment aren't required, as we encourage sharing and mutual respect. Sessions might occasionally include instruction and technique, usually after we've played.
Its mostly for djembe players but if you play another percussion instrument you are more then welcome to show up.
